Ingredients
Amounts are for 4 household servings. Sodium model: 1/2 tsp table salt per serving (not added as an ingredient line).
- 1 lb lean ground beef, 90% or leaner
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed and cut in 1-inch pieces
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
Grab first: 1 lb package lean ground beef, bagged trimmed green beans, pre-sliced mushrooms
Directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook ground beef with salt and pepper until browned, about 6 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and mushrooms. Cook 4 to 5 minutes until mushrooms soften.
- Stir in green beans, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and thyme. Cover and cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring once, until beans are tender-crisp.
- Taste, adjust salt and pepper, and serve in bowls. No extra rice or bread.
